Manager Mental Health is an ongoing, reflective practice designed to support managers in both their pastoral responsibilities and their own wellbeing.

 

Managers attend monthly one-to-one sessions with a Mental Health Consultant, where they receive tailored, confidential support in navigating the emotional dynamics within their team. These sessions offer a dedicated space for managers to unwind, reflect and make sense of the challenges that arise when leading others. Managers are supported to process their own responses and deepen their understanding of the mental health difficulties that may be present in their team.

 

Rather than relying on one-off, generalised training sessions, Manager Mental Health provides continuous, individualised support that addresses the manager’s emotional needs as well as the needs of their team. This develops each manager’s capacity to lead people, not just manage tasks. 

 

When managers feel resourced and grounded, they are better able to respond thoughtfully, communicate clearly, and maintain appropriate boundaries. This creates more stable and trusting team environments, leading to improved attendance and consistent and reliable staff performance.
