About Me

Hello, I’m Michaela, welcome to Clarity Counselling.

With almost a decade of experience working with mental health, I have developed a

style of therapy that goes beyond simply talking. Together, we can uncover what's

keeping you stuck, heal old wounds and reconnect with the person beneath the pain

to create meaningful and lasting change.

Counselling isn’t just my profession, it’s my passion. I've contributed to conversations around mental health beyond the therapy room. I'm the author of a published article

for Counselling Directory and my work has been quoted by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) in an article on grief.

I have also spoken on various podcasts and I frequently present at high school events about mental health.

Alongside my Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy, I

completed a Master's degree, where my research focused on improving access to

counselling. I believe therapy should be available to those who need it, not just those who can afford it. To reflect this, I offer a reduced fee of £30 per session for   upto 10 sessions for students and key workers.

My standard fee is £50 per session. I am available for remote sessions every

weekday and face-to-face sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays in Sale,

Manchester.

“You already hold the answers,
my role is to help you find your way back to yourself.”
About
01.

I work one-to-one with people aged 16 years and older. I offer in-person counselling in Sale on Mondays and Wednesdays and remote counselling every weekday.

Sessions last for 50 minutes and cost £50 per session. I also have a concession rate of 10 sessions at £30 per session.

I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to ensure each session is tailored specifically to your needs. Click the button below to find out more.

02.

I support organisations to build effective pastoral care, through workplace mental health events and Manager Mental Health: a monthly one-to-one programme designed exclusively for those who manage and support others.

This gives people leaders a confidential space to reflect, recharge, and lead appropriately with confidence.

Find out how to get started below.

03.

Myself and Justine Lea-Grime from JLG Therapy run seasonal continuing professional development events for counsellors and psychotherapists.

Each event offers an in-person, facilitative space for up to 10 people.

For information about the theme of this season's event, please get in touch via the Contact tab below.

Services
Michaela inspired me to keep going. I felt myself, I felt like I was whole again. She helped me pursue and achieve all my challenges and goals from my traumatic past. She taught me how to love my past. To give it a hug.
I had face to face counselling with Michaela over a period of several months. The room was comfortable and quiet . I found Michaela listened to and understood my difficulties with great perception and was very supportive and helpful throughout a difficult time. She helped me to validate my feelings and to help organise my thoughts and I came out feeling stronger and better armed to deal with a difficult situation. I would turn to her again if the need arose and would recommend her as a professional.
Michaela counselled me for acute anger issues and anxiety. Her counselling really helped me to settle and to feel calm. Michaela as a practitioner is calm and professional and her specific support and its impact on me has been positive and enduring.
